Does this come with a clear coat finish?

The trunk ships in raw carbon weave. We recommend applying a UV-protective clear coat after installation to maintain the finish and prevent oxidation over time. This allows you to customize the top coat gloss level to your preference.

What do I need to remove to fit this trunk?

Most installations require removal of the OEM glass panel. Check whether your factory trunk has spring or shock hardware that needs to be transferred or disconnected before fitting the new panel. Review your vehicle's trunk mechanism before starting installation.

Will the carbon fiber yellow or fade without protection?

Real carbon fiber is prone to UV yellowing if left uncoated. A clear coat barrier applied after installation protects the weave from UV exposure and keeps the finish looking sharp long-term. This is especially important if the trunk sits in direct sunlight regularly.
