What prep is needed before I paint?

Sand the entire surface to open the gelcoat, wipe clean, and apply your primer and color coat of choice. FRP accepts standard automotive primers and paints — no special products required. The Raw FRP finish gives you a stable base without extra sanding steps.

Does this bumper extend past the stock overhang?
