This magnificent 1990s bespoke made embellished lace and crystal dress is a fairytale dream. The top section features a heavily crystal studded lace and turquoise bodice which has an incredible internal structure, made up of heavy boning, shaped bust cups and a reinforced, neutral coloured lining. The puffed sleeves are lined with grip tape to ensure a seamless fit, and to prevent any slippage in the shoulder area. The dress is fastened to the centre back of the bodice, with eleven neatly concealed hook and eye closures. The skirt portion, which is internally attached to the bodice, is lined in a white, crisp polyblend fabric. The weight and impressive volume of the dress is created using a combination of this underlay, turquoise blue chiffon and an embellished mesh overlay which is embroidered using silver and iridescent champagne threads and sparkling diamantes. The neckline and sleeve cuffs are finished with turquoise ruffle trims, with rows of small diamante embellishments.

A genuine one of a kind dress; this belonged to a lady who was a fabulously wealthy heiress and had all her clothes made for her. No expense was spared making this entirely handmade garment, undoubtedly designed for a grand special occasion or event. In wonderful vintage condition, she is without fault and best suited for up to a size UK 8 or US 4. Our model's sizes are: Bust: 33" (84cm), Waist 26" (66cm), Hips: 34" (86cm) and 5' 7" (170cm) and she's a size UK 6-8, US 2-4. This dress fit her well.
