Description:
Le Banke Celeste's third album of Bach Cantatas] Le Banke Celeste, led by Damien Guillon, a countertenor who is well known and popular in Japan, has released two albums of Bach cantatas mainly for solo alto voice on ALPHA and ZIG-ZAG. This time, however, he presents three completely different works related to the Trinity passage. The album features a wonderful blend of voices, with each part performed by one of the world's leading vocalists and instrumentalists, and also includes finely detailed and dynamic expressions. The organ used in the album was built by Dominique Thoma, a Thuringian organ builder with extensive knowledge of historical organs, using an 18th century Thuringian model, and Maud Gratton, a master organist, plays solo during the cantatas. Before Cantata No. 47, you can also hear the prelude to BWV 546, the original theme of its opening chorus. Naxos Japan
