Why are hood pins required?

Carbon fiber hoods are significantly lighter than OEM steel, which can affect latch pressure during highway driving. Hood pins secure the panel at both corners and prevent flutter or lift at speed. They're a standard safety requirement for any aftermarket hood and take just minutes to install.

Will this hood work with my OEM latch and hinges?

Yes. The C-1 hood uses the same mounting points as your factory hood, so your existing hinges and latch bolt directly to the carbon panel without modification. Simply unbolt the old hood and bolt on the new one.

How do I protect the carbon weave finish?

The hood ships with UV-protective clear coat already applied. To maintain it, wash with soap and water like any painted panel, and avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers on the weave. If the clear coat gets scratched, light wet-sanding followed by a fresh coat of clear will restore protection.
