Dial in your VW's stance with a turn of a screw. This weld-in rear torsion adjuster lets you independently raise or lower each side of your classic Volkswagen's rear suspension to achieve the exact ride height and rake you want — whether you're slamming a street Bug, leveling a daily driver, or setting up an off-road build.
Cut the center section out of your rear torsion housing, weld this unit in, and you gain fully adjustable rear ride height without guesswork, shims, or re-indexing torsion bars. Built heavy-duty to take abuse on the street or in the dirt.
Independent left/right adjustment: Set each side separately to correct lean or dial in a custom stance.
Lift or lower at the turn of a screw: No need to pull and re-clock torsion bars every time you want a height change.
Heavy-duty construction: Engineered to withstand the loads of off-road and street-performance use.
Weld-in design: Becomes a permanent, structurally sound part of your chassis.
Beetle: Type 1 swing-axle and IRS rear suspension
Karmann Ghia: Type 1 chassis
This is a weld-in suspension component for experienced fabricators. Proper installation requires cutting the rear torsion housing and welding the adjuster in square and true. If you're not comfortable with chassis welding, have a qualified shop perform the install.
Does this work on swing-axle and IRS? Yes — it adjusts ride height at the torsion housing, so it works with both swing-axle and IRS rear setups.
How much can I raise or lower the car? The adjuster gives a wide range of travel; final range depends on your spring plates and trailing arm geometry.
Is this reversible? No — it's a weld-in modification. Plan your stance before cutting.
