For the first time in our 40 years collecting historical vintage Hollywood treasures we bring you a most Rare spectacular discovery from 1948, that you can bet you'll never see again!

From one of Humphrey Bogart's most iconic films is the most desirable of all the film's posters, the Original 1948 theater used movie poster Insert for Treasure of the Sierra Madre.  Very good - Excellent condition.  This amazing original 70+ year old Rare poster (More Rare then the one sheet)  retains its original Un-restored bright color, and exceptionally RARE Un-Folded, Rolled Condition!  (Note: 95% of vintage inserts prior to 1975 were folded prior to shipping to movie theaters and hence incurred heavy horizontal creases)

Starring Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston, Tim Holt, Bruce Bennett, Arturo Soto Rangel, and Robert Blake. Directed by John Huston. An unrestored poster with excellent color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear, light creasing, minor border tears, pinholes, minor paper loss ..

 Humphrey Bogart received an Oscar nomination for his role as Fred C. Dobbs, the prospector who succumbs to the ravages of greed, in this classic western. This insert is considered by many to be one of the better format posters for this film.   In addition to the terrific artwork from the one sheet, the insert is the only poster style for this title to also include an iconic color scene from the film.  

 A vintage insert for this film sold in 2005 for $3000, and that one required restoration and paper-backing.   Note: Almost every other insert that has appeared on the market for this film required restoration and paper backing which results in a stiff poster that can no longer be rolled or folded, and has to be stored opened flat if not displayed.

This gem we are offering is an extremely Rare UNFOLDED, ROLLED specimen.   And 100% Original Un-restored and No backing.   Just minor border wear, a few minor creases in insignificant spots, a very small chip for the upper right corner border tip and a few pieces of tape on reverse (Not to repair anything).   It is the Only “Rolled” one we have ever seen (95% of movie poster inserts prior to 1975 were folded before they were shipped to movie theater owners).

Director John Huston won an Academy Award for this sweeping epic based on the novel by enigmatic German author B. Traven (a pseudonym). Greed, lust and murder take center stage in this cinematic triumph set in the desert mountains of Mexico. Stars Walter Huston, Humphrey Bogart, and Tim Holt deliver stellar performances, as does Huston's father, Walter, who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The film also has a beautiful score by Max Steiner. Paper for this film is always highly desirable, especially the elusive this insert.

The third of six collaborations between writer/director John Huston and Humphrey Bogart, this film follows three honest men as they go on an expedition for gold. Everything is fine until they start finding nuggets. John Huston won an Oscar (as did his father Walter for Best Supporting Actor) for directing this legendary film about greed and how it ultimately corrupts men.
