A pair of forged steel stirrups witha dark aged patina
They have rounded arches with rectangular suspension loops on top.
A three branched "cage" connects the oval tread to the base of the suspension loop.
One of the connections to the suspension loop has come apart (please see images)
Cage stirrups have traditionally been used by the bullherds of the Camargue in southern France (Les guardians), but these may have been military.
I can find no stamps or marks on them
