For a portable davit base solution designed exclusively for use with the 3M DBI SALA Long Reach High Capacity Davit Arm Assembly and one 3M DBI SALA High Capacity Mast Extension, use 3M DBI SALA 3 piece HC (High Capacity) Long Reach Base. The long reach base features a modular design which enhances portability and enables utilisation in a variety of different applications. Modularity also enables the base to be deconstructed into smaller and lighter weight pieces for transport and storage. The system width is adjustable and locked using detent pins providing flexibility during installation. All pins are attached via retracting pin lanyards that help prevent breaks and snags. This base is equipped with integrated alignment features that enable easy assembly and integrated levelling feet and level indicators which help ensure proper setup. This base is constructed primarily of lightweight alloy aluminium and the components are finished in hi visibility green powder coating. The friction reducing insert sleeve is constructed of thermoplastic which aids in davit rotation. Versus previous 3M DBI SALA models, a larger safe working coverage area is allowed with this base. Furthermore, accompanying davit arms can be used in all pin positions and with equipment (SRL/Winch) front or back mounted. When used as part of a complete system, this base meets the requirements of EN795:2012, EN1496:2006, CEN/TS 16415: 2013, and AS/NZS 5532. All 3M DBI SALA HC Davit Arms are designed to be used in combination with 3M DBI SALA HC Davit Bases and together form a perfectly matched confined space rescue and work support system.
