These shoe shaped stirrups are made of nickel .
The style is known as a "Conquistador" stirrup, but they probably date from the early 20th Century.
The shape would protect the rider's feet from injury.
Both stirrups are decorated with an engraved foliate pattern .
Their bases are stamped with a knotted horn the number 322 and makers mark "Eberle" and "Solid Nickel".
There are circular drainage holes in the base of each stirrup - these could be used to hang the stirrups on a wall.
These were working tools and they have a couple of small dents from use.
