Humadapnon proceeds to Halawod to woo Mali and propose hungaw (marriage) to her parents. However, before this can be allowed to happen, the kamangyan boat that was stolen by Paglambuhan from Mali’s parents needs to be retrieved first. This is a very precious heirloom boat, and no marriage can take place without it. Humadapnon journeys to Paglambuhan’s place to retrieve the boat. The two of them meet and challenge each other. Paglambuhan is accompanied by his son Sumasakay. It is difficult to defeat Paglambuhan because he is a brave aswang (witch). The fight is long and arduous, and when Mali sees that Humadapnon is already growing weary, she transforms herself into a beautiful and disarming woman. Upon seeing her, Paglambuhan loses his focus and is hit by Humadapnon.
