A single solid sterling silver spur.
The arms and buckle are hallmarked Sheffield 1895 with the silversmith's stamp W & H and a flag for Walker & Hall.
The spur has straight neck with a bulbous downturned end  and a small many pointed rowel that still turns.
The heel bands end with studs and a buckle for the attachment of their straps. The arrangement of the buckle means that this spur would have been worn on the right foot (it's position could be swapped for a sidesaddle rider though ..)

The spur is engraved "From John Francis, 18 April 1895"
