Pair of late 19th century French Louis XIII style os de mouton armchairs, circa 1890s, Handcrafted in the South of France, these lovely sheep bone armchairs have beautifully carved walnut frames with high chapeau de gendarme backs and gently scrolling arms. Supported on os de mouton or sheep bone legs with stretcher. Upholstered in a flame stitch fabric with nailhead trim, the pair is very comfortable and sturdy, suitable for everyday use. They will make an elegant addition to the dining room, the living room or library for winter reading by the fireplace, or in the master suite as a spot for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
