Overview
The VLS-1P-C is the camera-side LONGSPAN Ethernet & PoE converter for delivering full 10/100 Ethernet and PoE/PoE+ to IP cameras over greatly extended lengths of ordinary Cat5e/Cat6 cable. It pairs with a LONGSPAN base (VLS-1P-B or multi-channel base) to create a point-to-point long-range link, and uses SAFEVIEW™ LEDs to display link, power and diagnostic status.

• Extends 100Base-TX (100 Mbps full‑duplex) over Cat6 up to ~820 m; auto-adapts to 10Base-T for very long runs (up to ~1,050 m).
• Delivers IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at PoE to the camera with up to 25.5 W available (actual power depends on cable length and configuration).
• Self-configuring, maintenance-free installation with SAFEVIEW diagnostic LEDs for link and power status.
• Designed for harsh environments: compact, rugged enclosure and wide operating temperature range for outdoor or indoor surveillance use.

Use cases: ideal for CCTV/surveillance where cameras must be sited beyond standard 100 m Ethernet limits — e.g. perimeter cameras, sports venues, car parks and transport infrastructure. Note: VLS-1P-C is the camera-side unit only and requires the corresponding LONGSPAN base (VLS-1P-B or multi-channel base) at the network end.
