This 22 oz bottle is made from a non-leaching, BPA-free, medical-grade LDPE #4 polymer. It features a built-in filter with filtration media formulated the same way as Black Berkey® Elements for Berkey® gravity-fed systems. 

The Sport Berkey® Bottle is a convenient option for customers who want filtered drinking water in a lightweight bottle format without carrying a larger filtration system.

How to Prepare the Sport Berkey® Bottle for First Use

1. Remove the cap from the bottle.
2. Fill the bottle with clean water.
3. Reattach the cap securely.
4. Pull down the loop and extend the straw.
5. Squeeze the bottle to push water through the filter, then empty it. 
6. Repeat this process two times to help flush loose particles from the filter.
7. Rinse the bottle before regular use.

After this initial preparation, the Sport Berkey® Bottle is ready for everyday use.

Care & Maintenance

• Do not allow the Sport Berkey® Bottle to freeze.
• Do not place the bottle in a microwave oven.
• Do not run hot water through the filter.
• Use cold or room-temperature water only.
• Clean the bottle and straw periodically according to the care instructions.
• Store the bottle in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Replace the filter after approximately 640 refills or sooner if the flow becomes difficult. 

If the bottle has not been used for an extended period, clean and rinse it thoroughly before returning it to regular use.
