This vintage tunic-style vest is very "gracious country living", well suited for so many occasions! The style is fairly simple, but beautifully done. Look at the plaid matching! And I love the vertical line created by the dark red in the plaid that segues into the dark green curve of the pocket binding. Collarless neckline, gently shaped with darts, fully lined. The patch handwarmer pockets are particularly nice - oversized with a curving edged bound in a coordinating color, and three-dimensional, allowing for lots of volume. The plaid may be a tartan, but the closest I could come in researching that was MacLeod of Harris Weathered, or Stewart Hunting Weathered and it wasn't quite right.

The lining is an acetate-type satin, olive green. The curving edge of the pockets is trimmed in what I think is ultra suede in a dark shade of olive green.
