This formula was developed to support dogs showing progressive weakness, wobbling, dragging of the rear feet, loss of coordination, difficulty rising, or declining hind-end function commonly associated with degenerative myelopathy (DM) and similar neurological conditions.

DM Formula is based on the traditional herbal formula Xiao Chai Hu Tang and combines herbs selected to support healthy neurological function, circulation, and normal inflammatory balance within the nervous system.

Ingredients

Bupleurum root, Ginseng root, Rhubarb root and rhizome, Ginger rhizome, Pinellia rhizome, Jujube, Salvia root, Scutellaria root.

Directions For Use

Mix into food, broth, goat milk, or water and serve with meals.

Suggested Starting Amount

Twice daily:

• Up to 15 lbs: 1/8 tsp
• 15–40 lbs: 1/4 tsp
• 40–70 lbs: 1/2 tsp
• 70–110 lbs: 3/4 tsp
• Over 110 lbs: 1 tsp

Amounts may be gradually increased if needed.

Cats

Can also be used in cats at approximately 1/8 tsp twice daily mixed into food.
