World Music's classic "Ethio-Peak Series". This is a disc that explores the fascination of Ethio-jazz pioneer Mulatu Astatuke. This is a compilation of 14 tracks from two albums originally released in Ethiopia in the early 70's. It was released in France in 1998. The sound is a perfect blend of soul, jazz, R&B, and other black American music and the Asian-flavored melodies unique to Ethiopian music. bass/drums/percussion...
