For those who know natural wine, Dames Huguettes "DH" Blanc is often hailed as the "Montrachet" of the movement—a truly profound and intense Chardonnay that achieves legendary status through extreme vineyard sourcing and patience.

This is a wine of incredible concentration, born from a truly dramatic site. The Chardonnay vines are situated high up on a limestone plateau near the Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru vineyards, reaching an altitude of 500 meters. The topsoil here is brutally shallow—just 10-20 cm deep in most places—forcing the roots to burrow deep into the solid bedrock for nutrients and water. This intense struggle creates grapes of rare complexity and low yield. The vineyard itself holds deep personal meaning for Yann Durieux; it was delineated by his grandfather and is where Yann spent his childhood.

His unique approach to this wine involves an exceptionally late harvest, picking the grapes only after all his other wines are already safely resting in the barrel. This extended hang time results in incredibly small yields and an impressive concentration of flavor, giving the wine its rich, textured mouthfeel.
