New Cab from Quintessa                    
The Faust vineyard is in the new Coombsville AVA, Napa Valley's newest appellation in the eastern hills. Agustin Huneeus, who created Quintessa, sources grapes from his Rutherford estate as well for this lush Cab.

96 Points James Suckling: "Aromas of red and dark fruit, crushed stones, dried herbs, flowers and salt-cured meat. The palate is tightly woven with a silken mouthfeel, fine tannins and a succulent, minerally finish. A wine of real nerve and approachability young, with ample aging potential. A good example of what a cool vintage in a cool appellation can produce. Drink or hold."

95 Points Brix26:  "Sophisticated and supple. Yes, the second label from Quintessa has done it yet again. The Faust Cabernet is pure and straightforward. Black currant, cassis and blackberry fruit on the nose, with just a wisp of toast. Fresh minerals and finely integrated tannins make this Napa classic very drinkable now or easily cellarable for the next 5+ years or so. One of the best cabs we've found at this price."
