That gorgeous deep red blush you see? That's not dye. That's nature. Every Sindhura we grow on our Chittoor farm earns its colour the honest way — through sunshine, rich soil, and time. No calcium carbide. No ripening chambers. No chemicals. Just a mango that's been allowed to become what it was always meant to be.
The Rajamudi promise: Every mango leaves our Chittoor farm certified organic, naturally ripened on the tree, and packed with care. What reaches you is exactly what grew in our soil — nothing added, nothing hidden.
Sindhura means vermilion in Sanskrit — the deep, sacred red that colours this mango's skin at full ripeness. It's one of the oldest cultivated mango varieties in Southern India, rooted in the red soils of Andhra Pradesh for centuries before anyone thought to put a label on it.
On our organic farm in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, we grow Sindhura the way it's always been grown — no synthetic fertilisers, no pesticides, no shortcuts. The fruit ripens on the tree, not in a warehouse. It travels from our farm to your home in the smallest number of steps possible. You're not buying a managed product. You're buying a mango.
Sindhura is sometimes called the Honey Mango in Karnataka, and also known as Lalbagh, Lalpari, and Rajgira across different markets. Whatever name you know it by — the taste is unmistakable: a burst of sweetness with a gentle, fruity tartness, an aroma somewhere between apricots and warm honey, and a juiciness that makes it one of the most satisfying mangoes of the South Indian summer.

Why organic and carbide-free matters
Sindhura is rich in mangiferin — a plant compound that research links to reduced inflammation and improved heart health. It's also high in folate, Vitamin K, and B vitamins that support energy and immunity. In Ayurvedic tradition, mango is considered a cooling fruit that aids digestion and replenishes the body in summer heat.

From our Chittoor farm, directly to you
Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh sits in the fertile red-soil belt where Sindhura has been grown for generations. The hot days and warm nights of this region are exactly what this variety needs to develop its signature deep colour and concentrated sweetness. Our farm here is certified organic — no synthetic inputs touch our soil or our fruit.
When you order from Rajamudi, there is no commission agent, no wholesale broker, no cold-storage warehouse in between. You are connected directly to the farm. The mango you receive was still on a tree in Chittoor very recently. That is the only way we know how to do this.
